We are always taught to clip our nails, brush our teeth, cut our hair, wash our hands, wash our faces, and take a bath. But why must one maintain these rituals, these practices?
Why must one be hygienic? Why hygiene is important? Read on and find out the importance of hygiene.
1. Good Hygiene Boosts Self Confidence
Let us admit it. When we look presentable, when we look good, when we’re clean, we value ourselves high. A blooming, radiating appearance is a result of good hygiene. Well brushed teeth may captivate people with a smile. Soft, smooth, and well kempt hair free from dandruff and lice will definitely turn the heads of people we come across with. A fresh face will definitely soften the heart of an interviewer on the job you’re applying for. With these qualities, surely we would hold ourselves with confidence.
2. Hygiene can make you More Approachable
For one to be more social one must maintain a good hygiene. One whose hair is unkempt as Samara Morgan does not look approachable. One who smells bad and has not seen a deodorant advertisement all of his life is not at all companionable. One who has bad breath is not at all inviting.
On another hand, one who has very well kept hair like Johnny Bravo gets all the girls (assuming he’s not an airhead). One who smells good is very well companionable, and one who has fresh breath is very inviting. If one wonders why he or she does not get any friends, he or she should take a look at his hygiene.
3. Good Hygiene to Maintain Health
The main objective of hygiene, actually, is to maintain good health. Some sites like Wikipedia says that hygiene is ‘the set of practices . . . associated with the preservation of health and healthy living’. The washing of the hands is the most effective way of preventing diseases and infection. As they say, a good hygiene is equal to a good health.
